Default Do you get all heroes after finishing main quest?

Hi just started playing again and I'm taking a char from Tyria and running thru nightfall and am wondering if I will get all heroes available at the end of the main quest or if I should be out searching for them?

Thanks!

One other quick question, Can you buy diff armor for the heroes or do you just rely on runes signets etc. Thanks!

You won't get all heroes after arrival to nightfall. You can get a quest to get the heroes a native character have gained before where you join the story line with a foreign character. Koss, Dunkoro, Talhkora, and Meloni.

The others, you'll have to earn by doing the same quests as anyone else.

Unless you're talking about getting run through the whole campaign doing no side quests at all, or something strange like that.
In which case when you complete the final mission, you'll end up at Throne of Secrets, where all the henchmen (excluding Razah of course) are and you can pick up the quests to gain any of them you've missed along the way there.

About the armor, runes and insignia all the way. You can't even dye their armor. Or remove it, it never breaks when salvaging runes off it. But what level armor it is depends on level of hero. So when the hero reach level 20 it will have max armor. Hero headgear is always item attribute +1 ie. when you stick a rune on it, you'll get an extra +1 from the headgear.

You can upgrade the skin of the armor. By giving rewards from certain challenge missions to certain NPCs. But that won't change the stats at all.

Great info thanks geekling. I plan on doing all the side quests but was worried I wouldn't be able to get all the heroes without playing a native character. Thanks!

That's the only quest you need to be looking for to get the heroes you've missed by not being a native character.
Oh and since you have Proph... You'll be wanting to look for this one to:

To give you Olias.

Btw, when you get to the 'A Land of Heroes' mission (which all non-elonans have to do to progress now), you get 4 sunspear points for every enemy you kill. So I recommend when you get to the quarry, map back to champion's dawn and do it once or twice more, you get your sunspear rank up very quickly and easily (since they're not very high level).

Edit: You only get the bounty if your sunspear points are below 1000. So if you wanted to do this, just make sure you don't hit over 990 before map travelling You get 546 for a complete run of the mission, plus 300 for completing it, so as I say, stop as you reach the quarry, that should be about 400-odd points each time.

Another thing, all the heroes you miss and then get after you beat the game will not be level 20 so you will have to level them up, however they seem to level very fast.
